European Conference of Butterfly Exhibitors and Suppliers (ECBES)

October 6 – October 9, 2010, Muerten, Switzerland

The 2010 ECBES will be held in Switzerland and hosted by the Papiliorama Foundation at the nearby conference centre “Centre Löwenberg”. Centre Löwenberg is located just outside the medieval town of Murten. It is a fully equipped conference centre with all necessary conference facilities, as well as hotel rooms (only single rooms available). The post-conference tour on Saturday the 9th and Sunday the 10th of October will lead us to the lake of Geneva and Gruyère region and will include a guided tour of the famous castle of Chillon, as well as a visit to a dairy and to the Alps of the canton of Fribourg.

Invertebrates In Education and Conservation Conference (IECC)

July 27 - August 1, 2010, Rio Rico, Arizona, USA.

Another conference of broad interest to butterfly exhibitors is the Invertebrates In Education and Conservation (IECC) formerly the Invertebrates in Captivity Conference (IICC), hosted annually in Rio Rico, Arizona, by the Sonoran Arthropod Studies Institute (SASI).  Each year this conference attracts many butterfly exhibitors and insect zoo industry leaders from around the world.  Unlike ICBES where attendance is restricted to established institutions, IICC is open to all participants, whether or not they have an existing facility.  This makes IICC an excellent opportunity for future exhibitor or suppliers to meet leaders in the butterfly exhibit and insect zoo industry, and learn more information about what it takes to create a new facility.
